Wuben E2 Pulse Review: A $20 Keychain Light That Also Marks Your Group

For a casual reader: the E2 Pulse is a tiny ~$20 keychain light for pockets and bags, with a pulse/strobe that can help your group spot each other, not a full-size everyday flashlight.

First look from manufacturer specs and a named writeup. No hands-on sample. Confirm the Amazon listing is the E2 Pulse, not a Wuben E7 or E8.

Most “new” lights this week are colorways. This one is actually new. Wuben started selling the E2 Pulse on August 24, 2026, a 10.7 g keychain light that is also a tiny lantern and a marker so you can find your people in the dark. Launch price is $19.99 (Wuben shows $29.99 as the later price). Official global launch is August 27, 2026, 8:00 a.m. ET. (Notebookcheck, Aug 24, 2026; Wuben, Aug 3, 2026)

What it is

A clip-or-chain gadget, not a glove-box Maglite and not a 21700 work brick like the HD02 PRO. Notebookcheck, citing Wuben, says you can hang it on a neck chain, clip it to a pack, or stick it with the magnetic back. The shell is photoluminescent. The battery is built-in, USB-C, IP66. 150 lumens that lasts a minute is a keychain burst, not a trail light. The useful modes are the low flashlight and the 10-lumen marker.

Who it is for

Buy this if you want something on a keyring or zipper pull: dog walk, find the lock, be visible to your group. Twenty dollars is the right ask for that.

Skip it if you want replaceable cells, real throw, or a light that runs all evening. Three hours at 10 lumens is a short hike, not a campsite.

How it sits on this site

It belongs on Best Budget and Best EDC, next to the Sofirn SE1 PRO wearable, not next to the Maglite 2D or the HD02 PRO. Different job.

Amazon did not have an exact E2 Pulse listing this morning. Use Wuben, or an Amazon search, and do not grab a Wuben E7/E8 by mistake.
