Olight Marauder 3 Review: Compact Searchlight With a 25,000-Lumen Flood
You want a one-hand searchlight that can light a big yard like daylight and still punch a tight beam a kilometer out. Olight’s Marauder 3 is that dual-beam flagship. Sales opened September 21, 2026 at $369.99 on olight.com. This is a first look from Olight’s store page and official product blog, not a hands-on test. I have not had one on the desk.
The Amazon button below is the Marauder 3 listing (not the Mini or the Marauder 2). Buy from Olight when you want the official kit and current promo.

What it is
The Marauder 3 is a compact flood-and-spot searchlight. Olight’s own pitch is that it packs the legendary X9R’s 25,000-lumen flood claim into a body roughly half that size, with a dedicated spotlight for distance work.

Three lighting modes:
- Floodlight — wide-area light for yards, work sites, and camp perimeters. Olight cites an ultra-wide ~130° flood angle on the product blog.
- Spotlight — a focused beam Olight rates to 1,000 meters (how far the useful beam reaches) with 275,000 candela (how hard the hotspot is).
- Flood & Spot combined — both at once so near ground and far targets stay lit together.
Controls center on a touch-sensitive rotary dial: unlock and light up in one motion bare-handed, or twist the rotary unlock (90°) when you have gloves or wet hands. A laser micro-perforated display updates estimated runtime as you change brightness and shows charge-time remaining. Key specs you can actually source
Plain English first, then the number. All figures below are Olight’s claims.

Olight does not put an IP water-rating number on the store highlight block or the CA blog spec table we used for this review. Do not assume a dive rating from a third-party roundup. Confirm sealing on the live product page or manual before you care about dunking.
Who it is for
Buy this if you need a ranch, search, overlanding, or property light that does both “paint the field” and “spot the far gate.” The built-in cell and 30W USB-C out also make it a rough emergency power brick for phones when you are off-grid.
Skip it if you want a pocket EDC, a $50 yard light, or a classic tube you can pocket-clip. At 840 g and soda-can-plus bulk, this is a dedicated searchlight, not jeans carry. Also skip it if you need swappable cells — the 46950 pack is built in.
How it compares
Against Acebeam’s X80GT 3 (also launched Sept. 21, 2026 — see our Acebeam X80GT 3 review), the Marauder 3 leans dual-beam: huge flood plus a real long spotlight to 1,000 m. The X80GT 3 is more of a multi-LED flood can (up to 30,000 lm / 430 m on White Light) with optional red/UV and a side light. Different jobs. Acebeam’s launch pricing in secondary coverage was roughly half the Marauder’s $369.99 list — confirm live carts.
Against older Olight Marauder Mini / Marauder 2 listings you will see on Amazon: those are different models. Match the “3” in the name and the 25,000-lumen / 1,000 m claims before you click Buy.
Honest catches
- Turbo is marketing-bright. Olight’s 25,000-lumen figure is a manufacturer peak for flood and combined modes. Plan on lower sustained levels for real work. In 1Lumen’s test (below), the top flood setting settled near 3,000 lumens within 10 minutes.
- Built-in battery only. No spare-cell swap on a long trip unless you bring another whole light or a power bank to feed the USB-C port.
- Amazon look-alikes. Search will surface older Marauders. Confirm Marauder 3.
- Sealing not cited here. We did not invent an IPX number. Check Olight’s live page or manual if water resistance is a must.
- Not hands-on. No beamshots, no candela wall, no desk sample from this site.
Third-party test (1Lumen, September 2026): 1Lumen tested the Marauder 3 on a sample Olight sent them free. These are their measurements, not ours. On the brightest flood setting the light hit about 22,100 lumens after 30 seconds, and about 3,060 lumens after 10 minutes once it dimmed itself. The spotlight reached about 977 m against Olight’s 1,000 m claim. Olight lists 5 h 42 min on that top flood setting. In 1Lumen’s standard runtime test, brightness fell below a tenth of the 30-second level at 1 h 45 min, but the light kept running dimmer until it shut off at 10 h 52 min. 1Lumen says its flood readings needed a filter workaround, so treat them as close, not exact.
Should you buy it?
The Marauder 3 is Olight’s Sept. 21, 2026 dual-beam flagship: up to 25,000 lumens of flood (and flood+spot combined), a spotlight Olight rates to 1,000 m / 275,000 cd, a 31,900 mAh built-in cell, a runtime display, and 30W USB-C in both directions, listed at $369.99. Specs and photos are Olight’s. If you need far throw and wide flood in one heavy searchlight — and you are fine with a sealed pack — it is the Olight answer in that class. If you want a cheaper multi-LED flood can with optional colors, look at Acebeam’s X80GT 3 instead.
