For someone who wants one bigger flashlight that lights up a whole yard up close and still reaches far down a road or across a field, without carrying a second long-range light.

Quick check before you buy: make sure the listing says L35 2.0, not the older L35. Acebeam’s own store showed $114.90 when we checked on October 5, 2026. If the Amazon seller isn’t Acebeam, the maker’s store is the safer buy.

Quick verdict

The L35 2.0 sits in the premium about $100-$150 tier (Acebeam lists it at the maker store in that band). Acebeam rates it up to 5,000 lumens (how bright) and 650 meters (how far the useful beam reaches), with peak intensity of 105,625 candela (how hard the hotspot is). Removable 21700 with USB-C on the cell. Dual switches: tail for turbo/strobe style access, side for the everyday ladder. This writeup is built from Acebeam’s product page – not a hands-on sample from this site.

What it is like in plain words

This is a thicker-headed duty flashlight, not a slim jeans EDC. The big TIR optic is Acebeam’s way of blending a usable spill with a long hotspot – good for trails, yards, and search work where you need both near ground and far targets.

Tail switch goes straight to turbo-style activation when unlocked. Side switch handles on/off, the brightness ladder, moonlight, strobe, and lockout. Battery charges through USB-C on the cell itself, so you pull the cell to plug in – or swap a spare. Stainless strike bezel is there for hard use; treat that as a tool edge, not a toy.

Lockout is a long press on the side switch when the light is off; unlock is another long press. Acebeam also calls out overheat protection that trims output when the head gets hot – expect that on any 5,000-lumen compact duty light. If you hunt or need a skinnier long-range beam instead of this wall-of-light TIR, Acebeam’s L19 2.0 class is the dedicated throw sibling. For reading turbo charts without getting fooled, see Turbo Is a Burst.

Who it is for

Buy this if you want a high-output duty or outdoor light that can throw farther than a typical pocket tube while still lighting the path at your feet. Farm checks, security walks, search-and-rescue style carry, and vehicle kit are the natural jobs. Removable USB-C 21700 helps on long nights.

Who should skip it

Skip it if you needed a deep-carry pocket light – the 54 mm head is jacket-pocket or holster territory. Skip it if you wanted a pure laser-like thrower past a kilometer (look at Acebeam’s L19 2.0 class instead). Skip it if you only needed a $30 junk-drawer light.

Closest rival

Against the Fenix TK20R V2.0, the L35 2.0 claims a hotter turbo (5,000 vs 3,000 lumens) and longer throw (650 vs 475 m) with a much larger head. The TK20R V2.0 is slimmer for belt/EDC duty and keeps USB-C on the light neck. Pick L35 2.0 for maximum duty wall of light. Pick TK20R V2.0 if carry size and dual-tail simplicity win.

Honest catches

  • Turbo steps down fast. Acebeam’s own chart shows about 60 seconds at 5,000 lumens before the sustained ~1,800-lumen window. Plan on High/Med2 for real work.
  • Head size. Great for beam control and heat. Awkward for skinny pockets.
  • Amazon seller quality varies. The exact ASIN we verified was a third-party seller. Acebeam.com is the cleaner buy path when in doubt.
  • Not a pocket EDC. Body tube is 1 inch, but the optic head is the carry limiter.
  • No desk sample here. Specs and photos are Acebeam’s. No beamshots or runtime graph from this site.

Should you buy it?

If you want a premium duty flashlight with up to 5,000 lumens, 650 meters of reach, and a removable USB-C 21700, the L35 2.0 is Acebeam’s balanced long-reach answer in the about $100-$150 tier. Confirm L35 2.0 on Amazon, or buy from Acebeam when you want the official kit and finish options.
